What is UnusualTourism?

When I was a figure skater, I had the good fortune to travel all around the country and the world for various Grand Prix competitions, Junior World Championships, shows, and seminars. Exploring different cultures, cuisines, and environments made me fall in love with travel. After severely injuring my right shoulder, effectively ending my skating career, I didn’t want my travels to stop.

I decided to make a blog on the most unusual tourism destinations around the world. I was able to conduct deep research on bizarre locations around the world that many people don’t know about, rekindling my wanderlust. This led to a proficiency in formulating blog posts, search engine optimization, and repurposing blog content into video content for social media. The outcome of my efforts? Hundreds of pageviews on the blog and tens of thousands of social media views, likes, comments, and shares. Best of all, some passionate and creative writing.
